Commentary
Sa-yahdiini – {(He) will guide me soon}.
Mudrakuuna – {(we) are caught}, this word is plural
of mudrikun, which is passive or past participle from ‘idraak (to
catch someone by pursuing). ‘Idraak has been taken from darak. Darak
means “to find, to get”.
It is commanded: Allaah Almighty made the Children of
Israel understand way of leaving Egypt at night, by which this objective was
achieved that Pharaoh, his chieftains and his Army Personnel left their
gardens, water springs, treasures and a fair estate; and came out for pursuing
the Children of Israel. Then they could never return their home. Those all
things; of which they were possessors, and due to behaving with boastfulness of
which they had been molesting the Children of Israel, Allaah Almighty
granted to the Children of Israel, so that they may inherit all such things at
the time of necessity. Therefore at the time of sunrise, Pharaoh and his Army
came out of the township to catch the Children of Israel. When both parties
began to see each other, then the companions of Moses (peace be upon him) were
confused that they were caught. Moses (peace be upon him) had full faith in Allaah
Almighty. He said: It is impossible; we have come out by the commandment of Allaah
Almighty. He is with me and certainly He will guide ne.
