Commentary

‘Uzlifat – (will be brought nigh), it is past passive voice from ‘azlaaf, which has come out from zalafa. Zalafa means “nearness”.

Burrizat – (will be disclosed before), this word is from tabriiz which has been derived from baraza. Baraza means “to appear”. Tabriiz means “to expose”.

Kubkibuu – (will be hurled, will be cast with the face down), it is past passive voice, which has been derived from kababun. Kababun means “to turn over, to put upside down, to hurl”.

Gaawuuna – (the astray, the seducers), this word is plural from gaawii, which is the subject from gayyun. Gayyun means “to go astray, depravity”.

On the Day of Resurrection, those people who ward off (evil), will see the Garden before them and they will be happy after looking it. But those who went astray, the Hell will appear before them plainly and they will begin to tremble due to its fear. Then it will be said to them: Where are your self-made gods today; of whom you used to worship instead of Allaah Almighty? Can they help you or save themselves?

They will not be able to give any answer. So they will be hurled into the Hell. Like them, other all people; who were seducers or went astray from the fixed Straight Path of Allaah Almighty or who were supporters of Satan and used to deceive others, will also be thrown into the Hell. (Our Lord! Save us.)
