Commentary
The tribe of Thamud replied: You have lost your wits.
Certainly someone has practised incantations on you. Show us any uncommon token
if you are a Prophet (peace be upon him). Can you bring out a living she-camel
from this rock?
Then Prophet Salih (peace be upon him) prayed and a she-camel
came out from the rock. He (peace be upon him) said: Tell me, what do you say
now? It would be better for you if you defend it. Stop your cattle from
drinking water on the day when she drinks. However on the day when she does not
drink, then you should cause to drink your cattle. If you did cause any trouble
to her; then an awful day will come and such ill will happen that you will be
destroyed entirely.
