Lesson # 575 From Holy Qur’aan

Grades of Believers

Reward for Those Who Believed

Belief in God and His Messengers

No Distinction Between the Messengers

Merciful and Forgiving forever – Allaah

Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verse –152 of 176, Section – 21/24 (Part – 6)

And those who believe in Allah and His messengers and make no distinction between any of them, unto them Allah will give their rewards. And Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Merciful.
Wallaziina  ‘aamanuu  BIllaahi  wa  RusuliHii  wa  lam  yufarriquu  bayna  ‘ahadim-minhum  ‘ulaaa-‘ika  sawfa  yu’-tii-him  ‘ujuu-rahum.  Wa  kaanAllaahu  Gafuurar-Rahiimaa.

Lesson

It was discussed in the previous lesson that those people who never believe in Allaah Almighty and His messengers (peace be upon them), and likewise those persons who seek to make distinction between Allaah Almighty and His messengers (peace be upon them), that either they believe in Allaah Almighty but do not believe in His messenger (peace be upon them), or believe in some and disbelieve in other messengers (peace be upon them), like this they seek to choose a new way in between that neither they have perfect belief and nor perfect infidelity. These entire people are in the same category i.e. all are openly disbelievers. These will be considered believers at that time when they will believe in Allaah Almighty and His all messengers (peace be upon them) and do not disbelieve even in anyone of them. If they disbelieved in anyone of them, they will become disbelievers. Whether they use to say, “We believe in God and also believe in His messengers (peace be upon them), but they do not believe in the Last Messenger Muhammad Mustafaa (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). Therefore in accordance with the decision of Holy Qur’aan, they cannot be included in the believers.

This claim of the People of the Scripture is useless, “We shall not be punished. Our Messengers (peace be upon them) will save us”. Because That God (Allaah Almighty), Who sent earlier Moses (peace be upon them) and then Jesus Christ (peace be upon them) as Messengers of their times, now at the end of all, He has sent Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) as last Messenger till the Day of Resurrection and bestowed on Him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) the Last Word i.e. Holy Qur’aan. Those people who will not believe in His Apostleship, about them, it is decision of Holy Qur’aan that believing in Allaah Almighty and His previous Messengers (peace be upon them) only will not be useful for them.
It has been described in this verse that only those persons are rightful to be called believers who believe in Allaah Almighty and His entire Messengers (peace be upon them). For them there are very grand and noble future rewards. The promises which have been mentioned in the Holy Qur’aan for them, those all will be kept. The mercy and forgiveness of Allaah Almighty is ready every time for them. In the Day of Resurrection, complete rest and unlimited comfort will be attainable by them.

It is very clear from this verse that Allaah Almighty has sent His Messengers in every nation and every reign for the guidance of human beings. Every nation is required to believe in the Messenger of her era and all Messengers prior to Him (peace be upon them), it is incumbent and necessary for all nations. Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is the Messenger for the present time. It is impossible to escape without believing in Him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him).

 Lesson # 576 From Holy Qur’aan

Questions of the People of the Scripture
Demand of Disbelievers for Revelation of Complete Scripture Instantly

Nation of Moses Asked to Show Them God

Storm of Lightning Seized Them Who Wished to See Allaah

The Jews Chose the Calf for Worship After Clear Proofs of the Sovereignty of God

Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verse –153 of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

The People of the Scripture ask of thee that thou shouldst cause an (actual) Book to descend upon them from heaven; they asked a greater thing of Moses aforetime, for they said: Show us Allah plainly; the storm of lightning seized them for their wickedness. Then (even) after that, they chose the calf (for worship) after clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty) had come unto them; even then We forgave them that! And We bestowed on Moses evident authority.

Lesson

‘Ari – (Show), this word has been made from ru-yah. Ru-yah means ‘to see’ and ‘araa-‘ah means ‘to show’.
‘As-saa-‘iqatu – (Lightening, heavenly electricity), it is from sa-‘aq, which means ‘to come down with force, to fall with pressure, to drop down unconsciously and instantly, to perish. Here it signifies towards lightning which falls with thunder.
In Madinah, some people of the Jews came up to Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah Almighty be upon Him). They said, “Bring a written complete Scripture from the heaven instantly, if you are Messenger, as though Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) had brought complete Torah instantly. We are not convinced with such a Book, which is being revealed in very little parts. “. These verses were revealed as answer to their demand. This description has been mentioned in this entire section.

In short, these all are their (of the Jews) evasions and pretenses. These people have used to be very much arrogant with the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them). Ask them, “Why did you not believe in Moses (peace be upon him) after that, while He came up to you with complete Torah revealed instantly and proposed a demand like ill-behaved people? In addition to this, you did improper and stupid actions of various sorts”.

Allaah Almighty addresses His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), “Now they treat you also likewise aforetime Messengers (peace be upon them). We tell you their rudeness with earlier Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) and some stupid deeds. They are very wicked and mischievous people. They were punished of various sorts. Due to fear of those chastisements, they used to accept some commands, but after that they used to be as it were. As a punishment of this arrogance, lightening fell upon them and they died. Then due to supplication of Messenger Moses (peace be upon him) they returned to living. But they did not believe in God Almighty even after observing too much great tokens and began to worship a self-made calf. Even then they were forgiven and against them Moses (peace be upon him) was glorified.

Lesson # 577 From Holy Qur’aan
Oppression of the Jews
Mount Toor Was Towered Above the Jews at the Taking of Covenant
God Bade the Hebrews to Enter the Gate in the form of Prostration

Transgression of the Sabbath
A Firm Covenant from the Jews

Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verse –154 of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

And We caused the (Mount) Toor to tower above them at (the taking of) their covenant: and We bade them: Enter the gate, prostrate! And We bode them: Transgress not the Sabbath! And We took from them a firm covenant.
Wa  Rafa’-naa  fawqahu-mut-Tuura  bi-Miisaaqihim  wa  qulnaa  lahumud-khulul-baaba  sujja-danw-wa  qulnaa  lahum  laa  ta’-duu  fis-Sabti  wa  ‘a-khaz-naa  minhum-Miisaaqan-galii-zaa.

Lesson

Sujja-dan – (prostrating), it is plural of saajid, which has come out from Sajdah i.e. to keep the forehead on earth before someone for His respect.
Laa  ta’-duu – (Do not transgress), it is from ‘udwaan, which means ‘to cross the limit’.
Galii-zun – this word is used for ‘weighty and corpulent’. Here it aims ‘strong and firm’ which is unbreakable.

Allaah Almighty described about the Jews in this verse that they were commanded to act upon the instructions mentioned in Torah. They denied and said, “These orders are very severe. It is impossible for us to act upon them”. Then Allaah Almighty towered the Mount Toor above their heads. They began to tremble due to its fear that it was near to fall on their heads. They thought that they would be dashed to pieces. For this reason they promised to act upon Torah. After this covenant they were commanded to enter the gate of city in prostrate position before Allaah Almighty. They disobeyed also this order. In punishment of this disobedience, pestilential disease (plague) spread between them and thousands were killed.

After that, they broke another order. They were forbidden from preying upon the fish on Saturday. A firm and strong covenant was taken from them for this purpose. See the Omnipotence of God Almighty that the fish used to come abundantly on each Saturday only. They could not wait and made a plan. They dug such ponds, in which the fish might come but could not return on Saturday, so that, they could catch the fish on Sunday. It is clear evident that this work was against the Order of Allaah Almighty. Therefore they were shaped as monkeys.

Such people think that everything is only in worldly respect, wealth and property, Army and supremacy. They do not believe in the next world (the Doomsday) and give importance to only outward things. Allaah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and Their Commands have no weight near to them. Neither they believe in the Word/Scriptures of Allaah Almighty and nor they understand the Truth of His Angels (peace be upon them). They determine the Time of accounts on the Day of Resurrection as self-invented. But actually they are disbelievers. According to the fixed Laws of Allaah Almighty, they shall be punished in the world as well as at the Doomsday.

        Lesson # 578 From Holy Qur’aan
Breaking of Covenant by the Jews
Disbelieving in the Revelations of God
Slaying of the Prophets (peace be upon them) unjustly
Saying by the Jews, “Our Hearts are Enfolded in Covers”
God has set a Seal upon the Jews for their Disbelief
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verse –155 of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

Then because of their breaking of their covenant, and their disbelieving in the Revelations of Allaah, and their slaying of the Prophets unjustly, and their saying: Our hearts are enfolded in covers. Nay, but Allaah set a seal upon them for their disbelief, so that they believe not  save a few-
Fa-bimaa  naq-zihim-Miisaaqahum  wa  kufrihim-  bi-‘AayaatIllaahi  wa  qatli-himul-‘ambi-yaaa-‘a  bi-gayri  haqqinw-wa  qawlihim  quluubunaa  gulf.  Bal  taba-‘Allaahu  ‘alayhaa  bi- kufrihim  falaa  yu’-minuuna  ‘illaa  qaliilaa.

Lesson

Miisaaqa – (covenant, treaty, agreement, negotiation), this word is made from the word wasuuq, which means ‘to trust’. Miisaaq means ‘trustworthy promise’.
Gulf – (covered), it is plural of ‘aglaf, which has been derived from gilaaf. ‘Aglaf is the thing, which is as hidden in the cover that anything may not reach there from outside.
Taba-‘a  - (set a seal, stamped), this word is from taba’, which means ‘to seal, to print, to publish, to stamp, to press the congealed thing (with a stamp), which has been put over that thing which needs to be sealed, so that the letters of the stamp may grow. With this practice, the thing which is sealed, that becomes safe and nothing can enter there.

It was signified in the previous verses that the Jews were punished excessively. Now it is being explained, “Why the Jews were awarded too much severe punishments”? There would be no other nation in the world which did so much impudence and then remained safe from complete destruction. It was result of the supplications of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) that they were not ruined. If they had believed in the Last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), then certainly they would have become superiors also in the world as well as their Hereafter would have been arranged. But they were hunted by punishment of their bad deeds and remained unfortunate from noble graciousness like Islam.

It is commanded that they were beaten black and blue because they broke strong covenant, promises and firm treaties like a raw thread, and began to do against them openly. They have denied clear, unfolded and pure signs of Allaah Almighty that they left behind His entire commands. They have slain the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them), Who used to tell them about the Straight Path, while They (peace be upon them) had not committed any crime. What can be more tokens of hard-heartedness and faithlessness than it that they killed such true Well-Wishers without any cause?

They replied impudently after listening to the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), “Your talk cannot reach our hearts because those have been enfolded in covers carefully. Your words remain outside of our hearts and cannot find a way to enter into them”. It was the result of all these matters that very severe anguishes were revealed upon them. That, what they say, “Our hearts are enfolded in covers”, is not true, but Allaah Almighty has set a seal upon them for their stray and disbelief. Now they will never believe and save a few of them who have believed, they have been deprived from the Guidance forever.

Lesson # 579 From Holy Qur’aan

Behavior of the Jews with Jesus (peace be upon him)

How the Jews Dealt with Jesus (peace be upon him)?

A Tremendous Calumny against Mary by Jews

The Jews Say, “We Slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary”

Neither Jesus was Slain, nor Crucified, but it appeared so unto them
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verses –156 to 157a of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

156.  And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny-

157a.  And because of their saying: We slew the Messsiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allaah’s messenger; they slew him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them. And lo! Those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof.
156.  Wa  bi-kufrihim  wa  qawlihim  ‘alaa  Maryama  buhtaanan  ‘aziimaa.

157a.  Wa  qawlihim  ‘innaa  qatal-nal-Masiiha  ‘Iisabna- Maryama  RasuulAllaah.  Wa  maa  qata-luuhu  wa  maa  salabuuhu  wa  laakin-  shubbiha  lahum.  Wa  ‘innal-laziinakh-talafuu  fiihi  la-fii  shakkim-minh.

Lesson

Shubbiha – (it appeared so), it has been derived from the word tashbiihun, origin of which is shabaahat. A word mushaabihat has also come out from the same origin. Shabaahat means ‘matching of face with someone else and two or more persons having alike (as same) faces’. Tashbiih means ‘to make anything to suit (tally) the other and to show that both have the same shape’. Here it aims that the face of another person appeared before them such as the face of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).

Those badness of the Jews have been mentioned in this verse, which they committed against Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). At first they denied clearly to believe and presented many curious conditions for it, likewise they did against Prophet Moses (peace be upon him). They were seen many miracles and signs of truth regarding the Prophets (peace be upon them), but they did not to be moved. Moreover, on the contrary they became Their {Prophets (peace be upon them)} enemies. They accused Mary (Mother of Jesus (peace be upon them) of sin, which was entirely a lie. She (peace be upon her) was surely a chaste woman. It is apparent that their two bad habits were very old and deep i.e. insolence and disobedience.

The Jews used to obey the command only in the form when any power super to them was standing ready to beat and punish them. At that time, they used to be obedient by compulsion due to constraint of fear, but as soon as they used to feel themselves free from any kind of threat, become at once as they were earlier. According to their thought, they caught Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and crucified, and then bragged, “We have slain Jesus (peace be upon him)”. It was their very oppressive arrogance, but Holy Qur’aan has told very clearly that their claim is wrong. They hanged and slew any other person in deception, who had the face like Jesus (peace be upon him). Neither they crucified Jesus (peace be upon him), nor killed. With effect from that time, till to date they have been deceived and seized in doubts. Not only the Jews, but also some more people are in doubt about the execution of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him), and their all discourses in this case depend only on guess, opinion and thought.

Lesson # 580 From Holy Qur’aan

Life and Death of Jesus (peace be upon him)

Knowledge about Death of Jesus (peace be upon him)

God Took Jesus (peace be upon him) Up unto Himself

Wa  ‘immin  ‘ahlil-Kitaabi  ‘illaa  la-yu’-minanna  bihii  qab-la  maw-tih

Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) is Living

Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verses –157b to 159 of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

157b.  They have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; and they slew him not for certain-

158.  But Allaah took him up unto Himself. And Allaah is ever Mighty, Wise.

159.  And there is not one of the People of the Scripture but believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.
157b.  Maa  lahum-  bihii  min  ‘il-min  ‘illat-tibaa-‘azzann.  Wa  maa  qataluuhu  yaqiinaa.

158.  Bar-rafa-‘a-hUllaahu  ‘ilayh.  Wa  kaanAllaahu  ‘Aziizan  Hakiimaa.

159.  Wa  ‘immin  ‘ahlil-Kitaabi  ‘illaa  la-yu’-minanna  bihii  qab-la  maw-tih.  Wa  Yawmal-Qiyaamati  yakuunu  ‘alayhim  shahiidaa.

Lesson

‘Azzannu  - (conjecture, guess without proof), such a matter base of which is not upon the fact, but is only a random guess.
Rafa-‘a  - (took up), rafa’ means ‘to take up, to elevate’.

It was declared in the previous lesson that the Jews and some other people who disagree concerning Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him), are in doubt thereof. When the people entered the house of Jesus (peace be upon him) with the intention of his slaughtering, at that time, a person entered first, then other people entered the room. They saw only one person there, whose face looked them entirely like Jesus (peace be upon him). They killed him. After that, when they observed minutely, they began to say, “His face is like Jesus (peace be upon him), but his hands and feet are like our companion, who entered first before all of us”. One of them said, “If he was not Jesus (peace be upon him), but was our companion, then where Jesus (peace be upon him) has gone and if he was Jesus (peace be upon him), then where our companion has gone?” In short, they remained in this doubt. Till to-day, they have been publishing their own opinions. Nobody knows the reality. They set up their own judgments with conjecture and presumption.

In the next verse the actual incident has been disclosed and explained in such clear words that it is impossible to err in understanding. Allaah Almighty says, “They slew him not {Jesus (peace be upon him)} for certain, but it was happened that Allaah Almighty took him up unto Himself” and the face of their own companion looked like the face of Jesus (peace be upon him), and they killed him. Allaah Almighty is ever Mighty and Wise. He is Not incapable of doing anything. When there is a need to do any object, that appears, whether anybody understands it or not. Then He commanded, “And there is not one of the People of the Scripture but believe in him {Jesus (peace be upon him)} before his/her death, and on the Day of Resurrection he {Jesus (peace be upon him)} will be a witness against them.

Lesson # 581 From Holy Qur’aan

Rigidity upon the Children of Israel

Good Things were Forbidden for the Jews due to Wrongdoing

Forbidden Things were Lawful before Wrongdoing by The Jews
They Used to Hinder the People Much from God’s Way

The Jews Used to Take Usury When They were Forbidden
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4
Verses –160 & 161 of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

160.  Because of the wrongdoing of the Jews We forbade them good things which were (before) made  lawful unto them, and because of their much hindering from Allaah’s Way-

161.  And because of their taking usury when they were forbidden it, and of their devouring people’s wealth by false pretences. And We have prepared for those of them who disbelieve a painful doom.
160.  Fabi-zulmim-minallaziina  haaduu  harramNaa  ‘alayhim  tayyi-baatin  ‘u-hillat  lahum  wa  bi-saddihim  ‘an  Sabii-LIllaahi   kasiiraa.

161.  Wa  ‘akh-zihimur-Ribaa  wa  nuhuu  ‘anhu  wa  ‘akli-him  ‘amwaa-lannaasi  bil-baatil.  Wa  ‘a’-tadNaa  lil-kaafiriina  minhum  ‘azaaban  ‘aliimaa.

Lesson

Wicked deeds and bad descriptions of the Jews were mentioned in the previous verses. Much about them has already been described in Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow – Chapter -2), from which it is easy to understand about their persistence and stubbornness. And really, every person, who joined them, found them as such with his own experience. It has been indicated in this verse that very severe orders were delivered to them due to their obstinacy and committing sins fearlessly. It was impossible to correct their tempers without severe punishments.

It is a famous saying, “An oak is not felled with one stroke”. They were punished very severely. Even then they were too much cruel that they used to be correct for a few days, and again used to become as they were earlier. In the beginning, which comforts were given to them by the Religious Law of Allaah Almighty, those were hardened and many lawful things were forbidden to be used by them. For instance, most eatable things were lawful for them and also the Divine Laws were not too much severe. But they practiced such mischief and tyrannies that, when Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) brought Torah, in It there were very severe commands for them. And they were deprived of many out of those lawful things.

Their tempers had been out of control due to facilities, therefore very severe Religious Laws were revealed for them. They had gone out from the limits of the Law. It had become their hobby to stop the people from the prescribed Way of Allaah Almighty. They never used to consider a little as badness in taking the usury/ interest, whereas they were forbidden from it. In addition to this, they used to take forcible possession of wealth and property too from the people wrongfully, as sometimes through robbery, sometime or other through deceiving the people and wheedling them. On the whole, they used to misappropriate fearlessly the wealth of others, as it might be possible.

Lesson # 582 From Holy Qur’aan
Capital Reward
Reward for Believers
Keep up Prayer and Do Good Works
God’s Immense Reward
Firm Knowledge and the Believers
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4)
Verse –162 of 176, Section – 22/24 (Part – 6)

But those of them who are firm in knowledge and the believers believe in that which is revealed unto thee, and that which was revealed before thee, and who keep up prayer and pay the poor-due, and the believers in Allaah and the Last Day. Upon these We shall bestow immense reward.
Laakinir-Raasi-khuuna  fil-‘ilmi  minhum  wal-Mu’-minuuna  yu’-minuuna  bi-maaa  ‘unzila  ‘ilayka  wa  maaa  ‘unzila  min- qablika  wa  muqiimiinas-Salaata  wal-mu’-tuunaz-Zakaata  wal-Mu’-minuuna  BIllaahi  wal- Yawmil-‘Aakhir.  ‘Ulaaa-‘ika  sanu’-tii-him  ‘ajran  ‘aziimaa.

Lesson

‘Ar-Raasi-khuuna – (who are firm), this word is plural of Raasikh, which is from Rasuukh. Rasuukh means ‘to brood in something accumulated’. Raasikh means firm, stable, fixed or immutable
’Ar-Raasi-khuuna  fil-‘ilmi – (who are firm in knowledge), that is to say; those persons who have become expert and matured in knowledge, who have reached the depth of science and their hearts do not tremble due to doubts.
‘Al-muqiimiinas-Salaata – (those, who keep up prayer)

It was described in the verse before it that the Jews are very cruel. They talk such words fearlessly, which are sins in accordance with the Law, and the reason of their so talking is that their hearts are free from the fear of Allaah Almighty. It has been mentioned in this verse that some of them are those who are intelligent and they reach the depth of each matter soon, and they understand that pleasures of the world are not more than a few moments. Suppose! These pleasures are of hours, then what? It entire depends upon the health, strength and fitness of the body, but these are changeable. Without them, riches are also useless. On the contrary, there will be neither any sign of illness or death in the life of Hereafter (the life after death from this world), and nor the pleasures will come to an end in minutes, hours or days. Moreover, those pleasures will be for every time and forever. For those pleasures, you have to believe in One God (Allaah Almighty), His Angels and Messengers including the last one i.e. Muhammad (peace be upon them), His Scriptures including the last i.e. Holy Qur’aan and your only duty is to obey His Commands. You have to keep up the prayer, pay the poor-due, believe in the Day of Resurrection, and remain away from the stupid tastes and harmful things. The best reward is ready for them in the next lives, who adopt this Way. Wise people choose this Path only.

Lesson # 583 From Holy Qur’aan
Inspiration of God
Revelation of Allaah Almighty
God Imparted the Scriptures to Prophets
Only a Few Messengers Have been Mentioned in the Word of God
Talk of God with Prophets (peace be upon Them)
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4)
Verses –163 & 164 of 176, Section – 23/24 (Part – 6)

163.  Lo! We inspire thee as We inspired Noah and the Prophets after him, as We inspired Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and as We imparted unto David the Psalms.

164. And messengers We have mentioned unto thee before and messengers We have not mentioned unto thee. And Allaah spake directly unto Moses.
163.  ‘Innaaa  ‘aw-hayNaaa  ‘ilayka  kamaaa  ‘aw-hayNaaa  ‘ilaa  Nuuhinw-wanna-biyyiina  mim-  ba’-dih.  Wa  ‘aw  hayNaaa  ‘ilaa  ‘Ibraa-hiima  wa  ‘Ismaa-‘iila  wa  ‘Is-haaqa  wa  Ya’-quuba  wal-‘asbaati  wa  ‘Iisaa  wa  ‘Ayyuuba  wa  Yuunusa  wa  Haaruuna  wa  Sulaymaan.  Wa  ‘aatayNaa  Daawuuda  Zabuuraa.

164.  Wa  rusulan  qad  qasas-Naahum  ‘alayka  min- qablu  wa  rusulal-lam  Naqsus-hum  ‘alayk. Wa  kalla-mAllaahu  Muusaa  takliimaa.

Lesson

‘Aw-hayNaaa – (We inspire, We reveal), it is from ‘iihaa, which has been made from Vahii. Vahii means Divine revelation, inspiration i.e. “to say something to someone in the manner that the person, who is saying, cannot be seen”. Secondly it means, “Either to signify or to send message through Angel (peace be upon him)”. Therefore, aim of ‘aw-hayNaaa  is, “We sent message to the Prophets either through Angels (peace be upon them) or in Our own Sound, a little or instantly”.
‘Asbaata  - it is plural of sabat, which means a tribe. Sons, grandsons and next their children, all are included in it.
Kalla-ma  - (spoke), it is from takliim, which means to speak, and it has been made from Kalaam, that is to say; to discourse, to converse, to talk.

Allaah Almighty addresses His Last Messenger, Muhammad Mustafa (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and says, “We inspire you as We inspired before it (Prophets) Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their children – Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron and Solomon (peace be upon Them). And We imparted the Scripture Psalms (Zabuur) to Prophet David (peace be upon Him). And We spoke directly to Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him). Besides them, many other Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) came in the world, who have not been mentioned in the Holy Qur’aan. Object of telling these verses is that messenger-hood of Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is not a new thing. This chain of sending the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) has been coming from the beginning of the humankind. Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is the last ring of that chain as the last brick of any perfect building. Moreover, the Muslims believe in the entire Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) and accept that they all were true, who came before the last Messenger i.e. Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), whether the Muslims do not know their names and biographies.

Lesson # 584 From Holy Qur’aan
Evidence of God about the Holy Qur’aan
Allaah Almighty is Witness of His own Word
Testimony of God Almighty

The People, Who Have Wandered Far Astray

God (Himself) testifies that, which He revealed unto Muhammad
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4)
Verses –165 to 167 of 176, Section – 23/24 (Part – 6)

165.  (We sent) messengers of
good cheer and of warning, in
order that mankind might have
no argument against Allaah
after the messengers. And
Allaah is ever Mighty, Wise.

166.  But Allaah (Himself)
testifieth concerning that
which He hath revealeth
unto thee; in His knowledge
hath He revealed it; and the
angels also testify. And
 Allaah is Sufficient Witness.

167.  Lo! Those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the Way of Allaah, they verily have wandered far astray.
165.  Rusulam-mubash-shiriina    wa  munziriina  li-‘allaa  yakuuna  linnaasi  ‘alAllaahi  hujjatum- ba’-dar-rusul.  Wa  kaanAllaahu  ‘Aziizan  Hakiimaa.

166.  Laaki-NIllaahu  yash-hadu  bimaaa  ‘anzala  ‘ilayka  ‘anza-lahuu  bi-‘ilmih.  Wal-malaaa-‘ikatu  yash-haduun.  Wa  kafaa  BIllaahi  Shahiidaa.

167.  ‘Innal-laziina  kafaruu  wa  sadduu  ‘an-Sabii-LIllaahi  qad  zalluu  zalaalam-ba-‘iidaa.

Lesson

Li-‘allaa – actually these are three alphabetical letters – li, ‘an, laa. It means – in order that – no. in writing usually it is written li-‘allaa. The letter “n” is deleted.
Sadduu  - they hindered, it is from sadd, which means ‘to hinder, to prevent, to disallow, to refrain’. Zalluu – (to stray), It has been made from the word zalaal, which means ‘to lose the way’. Zalluu  zalaalam-ba-‘iidaa - they have adopted wrong path and wandered far astray after leaving the true Way.

Allaah Almighty says in this verse, “We sent many Messengers (peace be upon them) heretofore. It was their duty to cause to hear the people good cheer, who do well, that they will be given very good retaliation (reward) of their good deeds, and warn them who are evildoers, that they will be oppressed by different types of adversities and will be punished very severely.

Aim to send the Messengers (peace be upon them) was that the people may not argue and evade on the Doomsday that they did not know about the Straight Path. They might say, “If we had known about the correct way, surely we would have adopted it”. After sending the Messengers (peace be upon them), now they cannot say these words, because they (peace be upon them) have told the people very clearly about the truth. Now if they do not obey them (peace be upon them), then they will be punished according to their deeds.

If Allaah Almighty wished, He was able to direct all the human beings forcibly towards the Straight Path, because He is ever Mighty and very Wise. But His Wisdom and Plan wished to empower them and give them reward or punishment of deeds. Then it has been emphasized, “We have determined the Holy Qur’aan for perfect guidance of the humankind for entire times, and We testify it and the Angels (peace be upon them) are also its witnesses that It has all necessary things, which human beings need”.

       Lesson # 585 From Holy Qur’aan
Hell for the Disbelievers
No Forgiveness for Them, Who Disbelieved and Did Wrong

God will not Guide the Disbelievers and Wrongdoers
The Path of Hell
It is Easy for Allaah to Throw the Disbelievers in to Hell
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4)
Verses –168 & 169 of 176, Section – 23/24 (Part – 6)

168.  Lo! Those who have disbelieved and done wrong, Allaah will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a path-

169.  Except the path of Hell, wherein they will abide for ever. And that is ever easy for Allaah.
168.  ‘Innal-laziina kafaruu  wa zalamuu  lam  yakuNIllaahu  li-yagfira  lahum  wa  laa  li-yahdi-yahum  tariiqaa.

169.  ‘Illaa  tariiqa  Jahannama  khaalidiina  fiihaa  ‘abadaa.  Wa  kaana zaalika  ‘alAllaahi  yasiiraa.

Lesson

Zalamuu – (they did wrong), it is from zulm, which means ‘to harm, to use force against others. It was told in the previous verse that those people who do not believe in Allaah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and His Religion, they have gone far astray from the Straight Path.

Allaah Almighty commands in this verse that those people who are disbelievers and disobedient, they oppress themselves as well as other people. They have been driven back from the straight path and at last they would have to reach the ruin. Now there is no opportunity for them to come back to the right path. They have wandered very away to the wrong direction. If someone will tell them now about the true path, that will not be understandable for them, because they like that path very much, upon which they are wandering. There is a lot of things to fulfill their heartily wishes on each step.

However, if they ask from anyone, they ask resolutions to get more comforts of that wrong path. They never think about the straight path, nor they believe in Allaah Almighty and nor they ask Him to guide them. Also Allaah Almighty does not care them. He will let them go towards the wrong direction, which they have liked for themselves. There is a principle near Allaah Almighty that He does not compel anybody to adopt the straight path. The end of that wrong path, which they have chosen, is Hell and that will lead them to fall in to it. In this form they have no chance to escape from it and never will they be able to get out from it. They will remain in the Hell forever.

It is very easy for Allaah Almighty to punish them against their evildoing. If they are punished then it is evident that they themselves purchased this punishment at their own. Allaah Almighty eases that particular path for everyone, which is chosen by each person his/herself. It is His prescribed Law, which is not changeable. Briefly speaking, Allaah Almighty has bestowed option in the mind of humankind and it is the Divine Rule that necessities and means are arranged for which a human being intends. Upon the basis of this intention, the mankind is held responsible of good or bad deeds.

Lesson # 586 From Holy Qur’aan
Coming of the Last Messenger
The Messenger has come unto you with the Truth from your Lord

Believe in Messenger; it is better for you
Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, belongs to Allaah
‘Inna  LIllaahi  maa  fis-samaawaati  wal-‘arz
Surah Nisaaa’ (Women) – Chapter – 4)
Verse –170 of 176, Section – 23/24 (Part – 6)

O mankind! The Messenger hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord, therefore believe; (it is) better for you. And if ye disbelieve, still, lo! Unto Allaah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And Allaah is ever Knower, Wise.
Yaaa-‘ayyu-hannaasu  qad  jaaa-‘akumur-Rasuulu  bil-haqqi  mir-Rabbikum  fa-‘aaminuu  khayrallakum.  Wa  ‘in  takfuruu  fa-‘inna  LIllaahi  maa  fis-samaawaati  wal-‘arz.  Wa  kaanAllaahu  ‘Aliiman  Hakiimaa.

Lesson

Hakiimun – (Wise), this excellence of Allaah Almighty has come in the Holly Qur’aan again and again. It is made from “Hikmah”, which means ‘to say such words, which have advantage into them’, wisdom. It is apparent that only He can do this, who knows everything and able to organize the information in such a manner that the results remain positive until final.

A principle was described in the previous lesson that Allaah Almighty does not wish to compel anyone towards the Straight Path. Everybody has choice to choose the way for him/herself. In accordance with this principle, it was commanded, “Those people, who have disbelieved and done wrong, Allaah Almighty will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a path,

except the path of Hell, wherein they will abide forever.

It has been mentioned in this verse that after giving the option to the human being, Allaah Almighty has told very clearly about the Straight Path by sending His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). The Way of Messengers (peace be upon Them) is the Way of Belief. Having belief would prove best for the mankind at the end. Even after so much clearness, if any person disbelieves, then he/she should bear in mind that he/she cannot go out anywhere from the Omnipotence possession of Allaah Almighty. He has caused to know the humankind it’s good and bad. The principles of the religion, which have been determined, have been determined very carefully and intentionally. And their result will be ease and comfort at the end.

O mankind! This Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has come unto you with the Truth from your Lord Almighty to guide you towards the Straight Path. Therefore! Have faith in His sayings, obey His command and believe; it is better for you. He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) wishes to carry you towards the Path of belief, where, there is no fear of any kind. And if you do not understand, still, then it is fault of your sense. Think a while! He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) guides you for your own good and He does not demand any retaliation of it from you. Neither collection of wealth and property is His object and nor is He fond of sway. He has nothing in His heart other than your good-will. There is no loss of Allaah Almighty, if you will disbelieve.  Unto Allaah Almighty belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. His Empire will suffer no injury due to your disbelief. And Allaah Almighty is ever Knower and Wise.
