Quran Chapter 18  27 & 28a (Pt-15, Stg-4) (L-1875) درس قرآن

God is Enough; remaining is ambition -2

Chapter Kahf (The Cave) – 18

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

It will be known by reciting Holy Qur’an that whatsoever happened in the past or has been happening in the world; has been manifesting the wonders of the omnipotence of Allah Almighty. In which incident you will meditate, it will point out that the mankind meets any calamity every time. Not only have others, but even own people too, gripped up their loins to trouble him. To which direction he sees, observes any misfortune before him. Miseries make a circuit all around. Where there is power there is unreasonable injustice with others. Where there is weakness there is helplessness and friendlessness. If you study history you will find the result everywhere that those people who were in power; they tried to overcome the feeble. And the feeble people continued performing menial services for them. Wicked people continued filling their treasuries and the simple people used to cry for bread. Does any other thing exist in the history of human beings save it that a man, as soon as he found any chance, became king and began to command others that they should go to plough so that he may get food easily without working, they should bring water in leather bags carrying on their loins so that he may drink cold water without trouble, they should stand for ventilating and saving him from flies and mosquitoes etc, so that he may take rest, they should toil and work hard to solace him? The kings used to say to their subjects: I am your master. If you will disobey my order, I shall punish you effectively.

It has been commanded to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) in the verse of Holy Qur,an, mentioned in the previous lesson that for the mankind, there is no form of safety from oppressions of the oppressors in the world. You should say to the people: If you are in search of peace and safety, then you should run unto Allah Almighty heartily. Except Him; there is none who may save you from misfortunes. O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): You should restrain yourself along with those people, who have turned their attention to God Almighty wholeheartedly after listening to your Sayings and they call on Him in the morning and the evening.

In the beginning only poor and weak people embraced Islam as Ammaar, Suhayb, Bilal, Ibne Mas’uud etc. (May Allah be pleased with them). It is not easy to console such people and withdraw from haughty and rich people. Much patience is required. In this verse Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is being commanded: You should suffer but dwell along with such people.
