their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.

should we utter an enormity. |

Commentary
RabatNaa – (We made firm), it is past
tense from the word rabat, which means “to make strong by fastening”. RabatNaa  ‘alaa
quluu-bihim means “We bestowed patience and stability to their
hearts”.
Shatata – (enormity, the matter
against the sense), shatata is an adjective which means “away, at
distance”. Shattun means “to cross the limit”.
It is commanded: We describe you {O Messenger
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) their actual story with truth.
Those young men had known their Lord, Allah Almighty. We strengthened their
hearts with Belief, by which courage and spirit had been produced in their
hearts. They said very clearly; standing before their cruel King, named Daqyanus
“Being frightened from you; we shall never believe in a plurality of God
Almighty. Our Lord is He Who is Lord of the heavens and the earth. It will
never be from us that leaving Him; we begin to say that these idols are our
lords; to which you adore ignorantly. It is contrary to our sense. We do not
understand that beside Him Who created this entire universe, someone else may
be our Lord. (God forbid) if we say something as it is then it would be
entirely stupidity, which does not have any connection with the sense.
