Lesson # 782 From the Noble Quran

Correct use of wealth

 Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –124 of 165, Section – 15 of 20 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And when a token cometh unto them, they say: We will not believe till we are given that which Allah’s Messengers are given. Allah knoweth best with whom to place His message. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will smite the guilty for their scheming.
Wa  ‘izaa  jaaa-‘at-hum  ‘Aayatun  qaaluu  lan-nu’-mina  hattaa  nu’-taa  misla  maaa  ‘uutiya  RusulUllaah.  Allaahu  ‘a’-lamu  haysu  yaj-‘alu  risaalatah.  Sa-yusii-bul-laziina  ‘ajramuu  sagaarun  ‘indAllaahi  wa  ‘azaabun-  shadiidum  bimaa  kaanuu  yamkuruun.

Lesson

It was described previously that those people who are rich and have dignity, do not let them do their work, who say true and straight. They conspire in such a way that those persons who say the truth, neither they may advance and nor their matter may ever be promoted.

The influential people of Makkah used to do this practice and had become so much rebellious that they used to say to the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him): we are rich and honorable. If there were messengers, those would be we. Neither You are rich, nor famous and nor have dignity, how have You been Messenger? They have been replied in this verse.

It is commanded: Observe their condition. When Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) brings unto them any verse or token, they say moving their head proudly: we shall never believe in Your sayings till we are inspired also as the Messengers (peace be upon Them) are inspired. And about that which you say: we should also be given that which Allah’s Messengers are given because we are more deserving of messenger-hood than You being wealthy and influential.

Allah Almighty commands: Say to them O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! Allah Almighty has more knowledge than you about that person, who is more deserving of Messenger-hood and with whom to place His message. There is no value of being rich and high with Allah Almighty. You, who are drunk with wealth, reject the truth and say flippantly: If Allah desires to guide us, He will send His message directly unto us through His Angels. We do not accept the sayings of the people like You (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) (God forbid).

You will be cursed by Allah Almighty due to the retaliation of your flippancy and haughtiness. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will smite you being guilty of your scheming. Your treacheries, schemes, frauds and lack-ness of gravity will bloom. You will live in the middle of nowhere during this worldly life and taste most severe punishment in the Day of Resurrection.

Allah – how much a strange and intoxicant thing is this wealth of the world and dignity that a mankind becomes quite blind and deaf? As long it does not fall to someone’s lot, neither the eyes are opened and nor the ears. Allah Almighty save all of us from this misfortune and disaster, and teach the rich correct use of the wealth. Amen (so be it).
