About the Hour

Chapter Kahf (The Cave) – 18

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَمُوجُ فِى بَعْضٍ وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَجَمَعْنَٰهُمْ جَمْعًا 99

 وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَرْضًا 100

ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى وَكَانُوا۟ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا 101

99.  And on that Day We shall let some of them surge against others, and the Trumpet will be blown. Then We shall gather them together in one gathering. 100.  On that Day We shall present Hell to the disbelievers, plain to view- 101.  Those whose eyes were hoodwinked from My Reminder, and who could not bear to hear.

99.  Wa  tarakNaa  ba’-zahum  Yawma-‘iziny-yamuuju  fii ba’-zinw-wa  nufikha  fis-Suuri  fa-jama’-Naahum  jam-‘aa. 100.  Wa  ‘arazNaa  Jahannama  Yawma-‘izil-lil-kaafiriina  ‘arzaa. 101.  ‘Allaziina  kaanat  ‘a’-yunuhum  fii  gitaaa-‘in  ‘an  ZikRii  wa  kaanuu  laa  yastatii-‘uuna  sam-‘aa. (Section 11)

        

Commentary

It is mention about that Hour when, not only this wall (which was constructed under the supervision of Alexander) but everything of the world will be ruined, and the Trumpet will be blown. Human beings, fiery persons (genii), weak and strong (all of them) will be mixed up into one another, and like the surges of the sea, they will knock together their bodies, and in the condition of confusion, they will try to penetrate into one another. And in such circumstances they entire will be ruined.

After that the Trumpet will be blown again and by the Command of Allah Almighty, all of them will be gathered in the Field of Resurrection. At that time, exactly before the eyes of those people who used to disbelieve in Allah Almighty, the Hell will be disclosed. Those will be such people, eyes of whose hearts were hoodwinked in the world. They did not try to see the Signs of God’s Omnipotence. Their ears had become unable to hear the Words of Advice. On that Day they will find the Hell present before their faces.
