Lesson

This verse is appendix of the previous subject, and in it, the way of learning a useful lesson from calamities has been described for evil-minded people. It is commanded that those people who turn away from Islam and who are convicted of the freedom against humanity, are entangled in big afflictions once or twice in every year. Sometimes there is famine in the country and sometimes plague, sometimes earthquake and sometimes a storm of wind and rain. In short, no year is over without any mishap. It was compulsory that they should have bowed before Allah Almighty with humility after every misfortune and considered that “everything is in the possession of God’s Omnipotence. There is no other way save bowing forehead before His Commandment”. But contrary to it, they become more disobedient, because they do not believe in Allah Almighty. Instead of doing so, they think that “there should be any such management; by which; we may be saved and live with ease and comfort in the world”.

They do not understand that satisfaction of hearts, ease and comfort can be gotten by having belief in Allah Almighty and trying to please Him continuously. If something has been acquired by intellectual absurdity, from it, all human beings cannot get advantage, however, only some people are addicted to pleasure. But other people, who are plentiful in numbers, remain struck with regret. Meanwhile, both go to death and then they are helpless from it, and open their mouths. Their eyes remain opened. Perhaps due to grief, every individual would be looking at such time that the soul has been leaving the body, and there is none who may stop it. The proud people remain entangled in this deception that collectively, their nation has been developing. Dying of human beings is not a special incident. Thinking about them is useless.

They do not know that death of individuals is also a calamity and the wise people should learn from it, that; if they are unable to understand, then to open their eyes, Messengers (peace be upon them) of Allah Almighty and the Holy Books revealed unto them, exist. By turning towards them, one can know the secret of existence of the human being.
