Quran Chapter 27: Intro (Pt-19, Stg-5) (L-2365) درس قرآن

Introduction of Suratun-Naml

Chapter Naml”- (The Ant) - 27

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

With regard to Chapters of Holy Qur’an, this is twenty seventh Chapter which was revealed during the middle times of stay at Makkah. It contains seven Sections. It has been described in this Surah that the Creator of the entire Worlds is Allaah Almighty. After creating the human beings, He sent His Prophets (peace be upon them) from time to time for their guidance and established a lineage of Prophet-hood. Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is the last person of the same lineage. Allaah Almighty, Who is Aware of all Secrets and has knowledge of all matters, descended His Word (Holy Qur’an) upon His last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). It has been explained in this Scripture that “what should we do in this life”. The mankind has to live in this world for a fixed time. After that, his present life will go to an end. Every mankind, who came in this world; will die on one or other day and at last, this entire apparent world will perish. After some length of time, he will be given life again in a new form. Entire human beings will be reproduced and the Day of Resurrection will be begun. Deeds of every individual, which he/she committed in this world, will be examined. And according to personal deeds, reward or punishment will be given to every person. And it will be entirely in accordance with such Law, which has been explained in Holy Qur’an. Disbelievers of Holy Qur’an will suffer from painful doom, restlessness and uneasiness. And its Believers will be bestowed with comfort, pleasure and cheerfulness.

For admonition of those who disbelieve in the Prophets (peace be upon them), circumstances of ancient nations and their Prophets (peace be upon them) have been described in Holy Qur’an. There is mention concerning Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and after him, two great Kings who were Prophets also, and the names of whom were David and Solomon (peace be upon them). Solomon was son of David, kingdom of whom had been spreading in very long and wide area. Besides human beings, the animals also were his (peace be upon him) obedient and he used to understand their multifarious languages. Two incidents concerning him have been mentioned:

1.  Incident of the Ant. The word Naml is used for the Ant and on the same, this Chapter has been named.

2.  Queen of Sheba. A bird Hoopoe came and informed concerning the Queen of Sheba who was overpowered by Solomon (peace be upon him).

Then there is a description concerning two more folks. After that, Oneness of Allaah Almighty has been manifested by describing the Portents of His Divine Power. It has been pressed that we should learn a lesson from the incidents of the world. The tokens of the End of the world have been described and circumstances of the Judgment Day have been declared. It has been described that after knowing these matters, there is no room for the mankind save it that he should obey the Commandments of Holy Qur’an.
