Commentary

Huzziii – (you should shake), it is word of command for a feminine from the word hazzun. Hazzun means “to shake, to pull”.

Tusaaqit – (will cause to fall upon thee), this word has been derived from musaaqitatun, origin of which is saqata. Saquutun means “to fall”. Musaaqitatun means “to cause to fall”.

Janiyyun – (ready for reaping, ripe), it is an adjective, which means the fruit which has ripened and fallen off or is plucked.

The Angel (peace be upon him) called out: Rivulet of cold water has begun to flow below your dune. And you should shake the palm-tree under the shade of which you have been sitting according to your extent. It will cause to fall ripe and fresh dates upon you. This is the arrangement for your food and drinking. You do not need anything more. The child will be purified naturally. Therefore you should eat and drink and be consoled by looking the infant.

If any mankind comes unto you and wants to ask from you something about this matter, then you should cause to understand him by making a signal that: I have vowed a fast of silence unto God Almighty. I shall not speak any mankind today. During those days, according to that Religious Law, a fast of “speaking not” could be kept also.
