Lesson # 898 from the Noble Quran

Circumstances of previous people for our learning

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verses – 100 & 101 of 206, Section – 13 of 24 (Part - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

100.  It is not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people (who thus reaped the consequence of evildoing) that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not?

101.  Such were the townships, We relate some tidings of them unto thee (O Muhammad). And their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not).
100.  ‘Awa  lam  yahdi  lillaziina  yari-suunal-‘arza  mim-  ba’-di  ‘ahlihaaa  ‘al-law  na-shaaa-‘u  ‘asab-Naahum  bizunuubihim.  Wa  Natba-‘u  ‘alaa  quluubihim  fahum  laa  yasma-‘uun.

101.  Tilkal-quraa  Naqussu  ‘alay-ka  min  ‘ambaaa-‘ihaa.  Wa  laqad  jaaa-‘at-hum  rusuluhum  bil-Bayyi-naat.  Famaa  kaanuu  li-yu’-minuu  bimaa  kazzabuu  min-  qabl.  Kazaalika  yatba-‘Ullaahu  ‘alaa  quluubil-kaafiriin.

Lesson

It has been described in the previous verses that when conditions of the dwellers of different parts of the earth were worsen, Allah Almighty sent His Prophets and Messengers (blessings on Them) for their guidance. They caused to understand them: Those works which you are committing have been carrying you towards the destruction. Your Creator has sent Us appointing His Prophet and Messenger (blessings on Them) so that We should cause to know you. Our character is different from you and We have been commanded that We must guide you to go upon the same Path, which We have adopted.

It is commanded that: Whether ruin of earlier disobedient people does not make present people to understand this matter that Allah Almighty can smite these people also due to their sins and evil deeds like them? If these people do not understand this a little matter then obviously there is no space for any good in their hearts except their obscene thoughts, apparent form of which is their stubborn and brazen, which prevents them from hearing any correct advice.

Allah Almighty says: O Our Messenger (Muhammad – grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! We have caused to hear You Some circumstances of the townships of ancient people. Their Prophets (peace be upon Them) came unto them with open tokens of their Truth but they did not understand their Sayings. The Prophets and Messengers (blessings on Them) tried their best to admonish them but they did unmoved. They had power of hearing and understanding. They were neither mad nor deaf, but their stubborn drowned their fleet. Allah Almighty can print the stamp of stubborn and perverseness upon the hearts of disbelievers. And they are deprived of guidance.
