These are they unto whom Allah showed favour from among the Prophets,
of the seed of Adam and of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Noah, and
of the seed of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom We guided and
chose. When the Revelations of the Beneficent were recited unto them, they
fell down, adoring and weeping.

Commentary
Bukiyyun – (weeping), actually this word was buk-wiyyun,
but after changing of the vowels, it became bukiyyun.
These are such people to whom We (Allah Almighty) chose as Our
Prophets (peace be upon them) and showed Our particular favor upon them. They (peace
be upon them) were from the children of Adam and from the children of those
people who embarked on the ship along with Noah (peace be upon them) and were
saved from the water storm. And they are from the lineage of Abraham and Jacob (peace
be upon them). These all are from those people to whom We set up on the Straight
Path and chose them for the guidance of human beings. We promoted their ranks,
but in spite of having eminence and higher grades, they pay homage like obedient
servants. And when Our Revelations are recited before them; they bow down on
the earth before Us, and they have so much deep impression on their hearts that
tears begin to flow helplessly from their eyes. Mankind should learn from them
that how much higher rank a person has; so much he must be submissive. This is ‘Aayatul
Sajdah (the Verse of Prostration). Every that person, who recites or hears
this Verse; he/she should adore after reciting/hearing.
