I shall withdraw from you and that unto which ye pray beside Allah,
and I shall pray unto my Lord. It may be that, in prayer unto my Lord, I
shall not be unblest.
49.
So, when he had withdrawn from them and that which they were
worshipping beside Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob and each of them We
made a Prophet.

And We gave them of Our Mercy, and assigned to them a high a true

Commentary
Lisaana sidqin – (tongue
of uprightness, a true renown, real fame and reputation), sidq means “honesty,
integrity, fair-play”. That is to say; “We gave him tongue of the truth”. It aims
“his honesty and truthfulness was remembered by every person”.
Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) left the house of his
idolater father and his native land “Iraq”; and went to Syria. He (peace be
upon him) said to his father at the time of departure: I withdraw from you and your
idols. And I pray unto Allah Almighty. He shall hear my prayer certainly.
Allah Almighty gave him
son named “Isaac” and grandson named “Jacob” (peace be upon all of them)
and they both were renowned Prophets.
