Commentary
Jadala – it aims “to quarrel without any
ground, which occurs in admitting any true matter, that is to say, a matter is
being proved by arguments; but the heart of the hearer does not desire to accept
it due to any reason and concocts in various ways. The same is also called “making
excuses”.
Messenger of Allah Almighty, Muhammad
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) explains the Truth and those
people understand it well who know him. He (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him) did never tell a lie, nor deceived to anyone and nor ever coveted
for wealth or power. He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) was always
a Sympathizer of every human being and ready to help every necessitous. He sacrificed
own benefit and caused to profit others; thus far that the entire people accepted
him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) unanimously as a true,
honest and well wisher of others.
After that when he (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) began to explain the essential secret of life before
the people and caused to hear them unequalled Word of Allah Almighty (Holy Qur’an),
then what is the reason that his Saying should not be acknowledged? But it
happened that maximum people did not believe.
In the verses of Holy Qur’an,
the perfect matters were caused to understand them by different manners, and
their heart was convinced of Holy Qur’an’s good language, eloquence and
Its extraordinary form of causing to know. But some selfish people
misunderstood carelessly that “if we believed in it then our entire efforts,
which we did so far, would be useless”. The mankind becomes blind in
selfishness. His sense falls into transitory pomp of the world and he begins to
reject the Truth. It is the sign of being at variance of the sense that it
should produce absurd and useless excuses for disbelieving in that what has
been proved by Reasons and Tokens. The same love of the world excites the sense
of mankind to create disputes without reason. The same desire of dignity of the
world teaches him quarrelling and making excuses. Satan generates him more for
the same purpose, and the human being denies the Right by producing unreasonable
disputes.
