Praising God by the universe

Surah Baniii ‘Israaa-‘iil (The Children of Israel) – 17

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ ٱلسَّبْعُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ وَإِن مِّن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَفْقَهُونَتَسْبِيحَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا 44 

44.  The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him. And there is not a thing but hymneth His praise; but ye understand not their praise. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving.

44.  Tusabbihu  laHus-samaa-waatus-sab-‘u  wal-‘arzu  wa  man  fiihinn.  Wa  ‘immin  shay-‘in  ‘illaa  yusabbihu  bi-HamdiHii  wa  laakil-laa  tafqahuuna  tas-biihahum.  ‘InnaHuu  kaana  Haliiman  Gafuuraa.

       

Commentary

The state of the universe has been described in this verse that all things which exist in it; have been engaged in praising Allah Almighty. Every thing admits that it is His creature. And which tongue and language has been given to every thing, by it, those are saying clearly that Glory of Allah Almighty is Superior to all creatures. Nothing of the universe can be equal to Him or partner in His any Epithet. The seven heavens, this earth and whatsoever exists into all of them can never think to be like Him. But the human being has been over taken by carelessness. O people! God Almighty has been looking your errors but He gives you respite that may be any of you repent of sins and be ashamed on mistakes. As an Attribute of clemency; exists in Him, like it, He forgives sins and errors of those who repent of their sins and are ashamed on their mistakes.

In this verse, attention has been drawn towards this side that every thing which exists in the world, abides by the laws and principles prescribed by Allah Almighty. Nothing has any power that it may change own reality itself or may set itself free from restrictions of the Law. The heavens, the earth and the entire things which are into them are included in it. No sensible existence is so much powerful that it may get itself discharged from the restrictions. It is the acceptance of the Nature and Attributes of Allah Almighty, which is being performed by everything.
