Commentary
Janaa-haz-zulli – (the wings of
submission), janaah means “the wings of birds, shoulders and arms of
mankind”. Zullun means “submission, humility and lowliness”. Loosening and
lowering the wings and shoulders may be because of entirely fear; as well as
for showing own obedience and humility also. Here, it aims “to show own
humility”.
Rabba-yaanii – (they both did care for me).
Rabba-yaa is used for the dual in the past, single of which is Rabbaa.
Origin of this word is “Tarbiyyat”, which means “bringing up, education
and training etc.”
There is an advice for the descendants and children
in this verse that they should respect and give honor to their parents by
apparent behavior, and also they should never think wrong about their mother or
father. They are such who do always care for their children in addition of
Allah Almighty, Who is Creator and Master of the all. They suffer themselves
but try their best to provide comfort and pleasure for their offspring. Behold!
Any thought about them should never come in your minds but about their good-will.
God Almighty is Well Aware of the condition of your
hearts and minds. If any time you fall short in the service of your parents
because of any reason, you should repent of your sins before Allah Almighty and
treat always your parents in good and suitable manner. If you lived good, Allah
Almighty will accept your excuses and will pardon your entire errors and
omissions. And after accepting your repentance; He will forgive your sins
because He is The Great and Ever-Forging.
We knew from it that obedience of mother and father
in accordance with the Command of Allah Almighty; is a best source of mankind’s
prosperity in both worlds (this life and the life after death).
