Duty of the Muslims
Chapter “Hajj”
– (The Pilgrimage) - 22
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَمَرُوا۟ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا۟ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَلِلَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ 41
|
41. Those who, if We
give them power in the land, establish worship and pay the poor-due and
enjoin good and forbid evil. And Allah’s is the sequel of events.
|
41. ‘Allaziina ‘im-makkan-Naahum fil-‘arzi
‘aqaamus-Salaata wa ‘aata-wuz-Zakaata wa ‘amaruu bil-Ma’-ruufi wa
nahaw ‘anil-Munkar. Wa
Lillaahi ‘aaqibatul- ‘umuur.

Commentary
Makkan-Naa – (We give Power), this word is from tamkiin
which has been derived from makaan. Makaan means “Place”. Tamkiin
means “to give under possession:. Here it aims “to bestow kingdom/authority”.
It is being commanded to the Idolaters of Makkah: You
have been prepared to repel and seize the Muslims due to ignorance and giving preference
to your casual worldly benefits, but you should bear in mind that this time,
the world has been filled with vicious and selfish people like you. If such
tyrant people are not pressed down then living of the mankind will become very
difficult in future; and together they will afflict and molest one another. Therefore,
it is necessary according to the rule, which has been described in the previous
verse that “A such nation should be raised which should correct the sense and
understanding of the people of the entire world”.
These handful people, who have been cooperating with the last
Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), will become
Muslim Nation (Ummah) in future. Their word and deed will be a pattern
for the world. They will be obedient and worshipers of One God (Allaah
Almighty). They will not fill with wealth only their own pockets but go ahead along
with their poor national brothers by helping them. One portion of their wealth
will be fixed for the needy people. They will enjoin good and forbid evil. Today
you look down upon them due to their distressed condition and think to repel
them.
In future, the world will see that how much they have improved
themselves. Don’t think about their preliminary weakness. Every matter is in
the Power of Allaah Almighty. Being ignorant this time, you do not
understand that these are the People, whom Allaah Almighty has chosen
for correction and arrangement of the world. However, the consequence of
everything is in the Power of Allaah Almighty. Assuredly He will get
completed His work by their hands.
