Commentary
It is commanded: We revealed unto them {Prophets (peace be upon
them)} that they should establish prayer regularly and for always, keep
separate a portion of their earnings for the help of poor and needy people; and
fulfill the requirements of the necessitous from it. They were worshippers of
Us (their Lord) only.
We bestowed sense, sagacity and knowledge of judgment to Prophet
Lot (peace be upon him). And We delivered him (peace be upon him) safe and
sound from the community, the people of which were disobedient, rebellious, evil-doers
and lustful. When the torment came upon them, then We saved Lot (peace be upon
him) and brought him in unto Our Mercy, because he is one from the fortunate, righteous
and good people.
