Introduction of “THE ROMANS”
Chapter “RUUM” - (THE ROMANS) - 30
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahiminash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
Holy Qur’an
had informed the Muslims that the Christians had belief in Allaah Almighty as a True God and that; Jesus (peace be upon him) was
His Messenger. Therefore, they were the People of the Scripture. Naturally the
Muslims were sympathizers of the Romans, because they also were a nation of God’s
Prophet and had belief in Allaah
Almighty. By chance, the Persians defeated the Romans, took at first Jerusalem and
then Damascus under their possession. Next year they conquered Egypt also and
got ready to attack upon Constantinople. When this News reached Arab, the
Idolaters were pleased very much and began to vex the Muslims that “Disbelievers
of Allaah Almighty had defeated His
Believers. So whatever your Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him) teaches you that Allaah
Almighty is Most Powerful, has been disproved by this happening. He could not
help His believers, and disbelievers got victory”.
During those days, this Chapter was revealed,
in which it has been described clearly that the Romans will vanquish over the
Persians after some years and they will rush headlong into their Country by
defeating them. Then Muslims will have double pleasure. Firstly that the
Romans, who are believers of Allaah
Almighty; will overpower their enemies (the Persians) who disbelieve in Allaah Almighty, and secondly that the
Muslims will break the backbone of the Infidels of Makkah also. Accordingly after seven years, the Romans defeated the
Persians gravely, and on the other side; the Idolaters of Makkah suffered a hard defeat in the Battle of Badr.
It has been described in this Chapter that
Sovereignty of Allaah Almighty is
over the entire worlds. He gives respite to those who disbelieve in Him, but
they do not refrain from wickedness. At last they consequently are disgraced
and killed by the Believers. The Believers of Allaah Almighty should not be confused if some difficulties come
before them. It is a test of their patience and steadiness. At the end they
will get victory.
