Commentary
It is commanded: This is bad cheating. They tell a lie. None can carry
the burdens of others’ sins; because load of their own sins will be so heavy
that they will be buried below it. How can they bear the burdens of your sins
while they will be carrying double burden, one – burden of their own sins, and
secondly – load of the sins of those people to whom they misled and they were
involved in sins. These miserable people committed sins by their seducing. The burden
of the sins will be carried by them who committed. But they will bear the
burden separately who lead astray. See their apparent boldness that they are
ready to carry the load of your sins, and wish to infuse in your hearts that
like this; you will not be punished.
Their saying so depends on their self-invented thoughts. Concerning it
they will be questioned: Speak! How did you consider that you will be able to
bear the punishment of their sins and they will be saved from the Doom? It is
entirely a lie and contrary to the news.
The fact is this that whosoever will excite any other for committing
sin, will certainly be punished because he misled for the sin. However the
sinner will also be punished properly due to committing the sin.
12b) But they will not carry anything of their
sins. Indeed, they are liars. (29:13) But they will surely carry their [own]
burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be
questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent.
