Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The
Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse – 130 of 200,
Section –14 (Part – 4)
O ye

observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful.

Lesson
During the recitation about
the Battles of Badr and ‘Uhud , now
prohibition of the usury is being mentioned. Apparently, no relation is visible
between above both matters, but there are many causes of their connection. Two
important reasons out of them are being stated as under:
1. Due to devouring the usury,
unkindness and cordial weakness increases, because:
a. Spirit of obedience and loyalty comes to an end due to eating up
greedily unlawful earning.
b. Avarice and misery arises in the human being due to
devouring the usury.
2. According to a
history, aim of one by one revelation of the verses about above-mentioned two
matters (restriction on eating up the Usury, and the Battles of Badr and ‘Uhud)
is that, the frequent usury matters of Muslims used to be with the Jews at that
time. Therefore, it was very difficult not to concern with them, and during the
event of the Battle of ‘Uhud the Jews Hypocrites had
trespassed intensely. So the Muslims were admonished that they should leave
bargaining of the usury. Otherwise, willing or not willing relations with these
deceivers would remain established due to the usury, which would become cause
of loss in future.
‘az-‘aafam-muzaa-‘afah – (doubling and quadrupling) it does not mean “Devour not usury,
doubling and quadrupling on the sum lent, but a little”. The fact is that
during the times of ignorance, usury was devoured likewise moneylenders, banks
and commercial organizations get interest upon their capital now a days, that
is to say; they lend one hundred $ and that is increased doubling and
quadrupling (due to compound interest). It is characteristic of the Usury that
the people, who are poor, they become poorer to poorest and who are rich, they
become more and richest. This doubling and quadrupling of usury has been
pointed out in this verse.
A usurer, who gets
unlawful gain from the poor and indigent people due to their weakness, he does
not bear any kind of labor but eats up greedily earning of his lent money.
Likewise, at first his own body’s parts become disable. On the other side, he
becomes cause to do in-efficacious the labor of borrower. Labor and hard
working of the borrower becomes valueless. He hands over/surrenders his
earnings after hardships in the form of interest to the lender. Besides this,
the helpless debtor/borrower falls into the disgrace economically, socially and
morally. Moreover, the person who lends the amount becomes lover of ease, dull
and lazy. The spirit to strive and struggle in the Way of Allah Almighty, to
sacrifice and to sympathize with the creature of Allah Almighty goes to the end
from his breast. He gets all sorts of comfort and other people work hard.
Others earn and he eats. Poverty of the poor person increases. And at the same
time wealth of the rich and lordship increases.

Lesson
Punishment for the usurer
has been described after forbidding from devouring the usury that his last
abode would be Fire of Hell, which is in fact for the disbelievers. It revealed
that a usurer would also be produced in the Court of Allah Almighty as criminal
likewise a disbeliever. Therefore, Muslims should escape from the curse of
usury/interest, and pass their lives as the temperate.
Then it has been commanded
to obey Allah Almighty and His Last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him). This obedience becomes cause of mercy upon
them. To execute the command of Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him) is just like carrying out the Order of Allah Almighty, because it is
the Order of Allah Almighty that you would have to obey perfectly the commands
of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). Some Muslims
disobeyed the instructions of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him) in the Battle of ‘Uhud, which endangered their
victory. Therefore, it has been admonished, “Do not fall short and do not
commit a mistake as such in future. If you will obey Allah Almighty and His
Messenger, (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) then you will find
mercy of Allah Almighty. Doing so, the doors of success and betterment will be
opened for you”.
It is being commanded in
the third verse of this lesson, “Vie one with another for forgiveness from your
Lord. (Labor too hard towards the good deeds and fine manners, for which Allah
Almighty and His Messenger, (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) has
commanded you. If you will pass your lives in God-fearing and control of the
passions then after death from this mortal world, your last residence will be
Paradise, which is as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those
who ward off (evil). The human being cannot think vaster than the space of
heavens and the earth collectively. Therefore, width of Paradise has been illustrated
by a simile of the space of heavens and the earth.
The difference in the
result of a usurer and obedient humankind of Allah Almighty has been revealed
that one of them is disgraced in the world as well as he will be fuel of
hell-fire on the Day of Resurrection. The other person, who is obedient, passes
his life with honor and he will be entitled to live in the beautiful gardens of
Paradise on the Doomsday.

Lesson
‘As-sarraaa-‘i wazzarraaa-‘i - (in ease and in adversity),
first quality of the pious has been described here that they spend in grief and
relief, riches and poverty (in both forms). They spend in the Way of Allah
Almighty in each condition according to their
capability.
‘Al-kaazimiinal-gayza - (they control their wrath), it is natural to suffer grief
in one’s heart on invasive incidents and to be in anger in unpleasantness. But,
the pious people control their anger. They do not disclose their wrath
reasonably or without any reason, and do not use unpleasant words overwhelming
by the anger.
‘Al-‘aafiina - (forgiving), “its origin is ‘afu” which means
‘forgiveness’. That is to say; to ignore the mistake or negligence of anybody.
This is a major characteristic out of the characteristics of the pious people.
Faahishatan – (an evil thing or wrong), this word has been derived
from fahash, which means; such badness and sin, which is not
hidden.
lam yusirruu - {don’t repeat (the wrong)}, the word “ israar”
is its source, that means to obstinate on one’s mistake and do not admit it.
Whoever has this badness, his correction does not remain possible.

Lesson
Following characteristics
of sobers have been described in the preceding verses:
1. Whether it is happiness or
sadness, they spend their power and wealth by every means in the Way of Allah
Almighty. They do not stop their hands even in the poverty.
2. They control their wrath,
do not do unpleasant things overwhelming by anger, and do not use unbefitting
sentences from their mouths.
3. They forgive the mistakes
of defaulters. Forgiveness and mercy are their characteristics.
4. To oblige includes in their
nature. Surely, Allah Almighty makes friends to the pious people.
5. If they commit any bad
thing unknowingly or do any mistake, then they bear Allah Almighty in their
hearts, and pray Him for absolution and forgiveness.
6. Intentionally or
unintentionally, if they commit any mistake or do something wrong at any time,
they do not repeat it. As soon as they realize and know about it, immediately
admit it.
The Spirit of fear from
Allah Almighty, goodness and abstinence is produced due to these
particularities. These are such people who are called the abstemious. Allah
Almighty has promised best rewards for such people.
It is being commanded, “The
reward of such will be forgiveness from their Lord, He covers their faults and
omissions, overlooks from them and bestows them with His forgiveness and
mercy”.
Gardens are for them in the
Hereafter, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. They
will get there Paradise and its everlasting graciousness. How much great reward
is for the righteous people? Would that the human beings confront Allah
Almighty on the Day of Resurrection by making themselves able for this in the
world.

Lesson
It has been stated in these verses that many nations have elapsed
before the times of last Prophet, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him). Major incidents have happened and the Law of Allah Almighty has
manifested. Those people from the former nations, who gripped up their lions
for enmity with the Prophets (peace be upon them) and accusing of falsehood the
truth, turned away from confirmation and obedience of Allah Almighty and His
Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), used to do evils and
wrong. How bad their end was? Those persons, who followed the right and
supported the Prophets (peace be upon them), how much peace and blessings were
revealed upon them? If you have any doubt in it, then observe the signs of
destruction of the disbelievers by traveling in the earth, which have been
scattered everywhere even today.
The Muslims learn also from
the previous events and conclusions. They should not be disappointed due to
cruelties and oppression of the infidels or their casual defeat, because the
Just shall overcome at last, and only the Muslims will conquer. The groups of
the people will take shelter in embrace of Islam very soon gradually. This
practice of Allah Almighty has remained from the very beginning that victory is
only of the Right.
These contents are being
described in the Holy Qur’an. The people who fear from Allah
Almighty, acquire guidance and advice listening to these subjects.
Nevertheless, those persons, who do not have His fear in their hearts, they
cannot get any advantage from such advice.
The Holy Qur’an has
prestige of universal guidance. It guides the human beings to find the road,
which had been lost by them, (it shows the Way of Guidance to every
nation during every time). Incidents described in it bring us also to the
Straight Path even today; the scholars may succeed by following them. Three
characteristics of Holy Qur’an have been described especially in these verses:
1. It has a particular message for the people.
2. It is a guidance for the human beings.
3. It is a warning lesson and source of guidance for the sober.
Those people, who falsify
such Holy Scripture, they will remain unfortunate in the world as well as on
the Day of Resurrection.
LESSON # 427 FROM HOLY
QUR’AN
Superiority Of The Muslims
The Muslims Will Overcome
Overcoming Of Believers
Believers Will Get The
Upper Hand
Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The
Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter - 3)
Verse –139 of 200,
Section –14 (Part – 4)
Faint
not nor grieve, for ye will overcome them if ye are (indeed) believers.
|
Wa
laa tahinuu wa laa tahzanuu
wa
‘antumul-‘a’-lawna ‘in-kuntum-Mu’-miniin.
|
Lesson
laa tahinuu – (Faint not), it means, “Don’t be depressed, do not be lazy, do not
dishearten. Keep moving on the right path with complete faith and confidence”.
laa tahzanuu – (do not grieve), usually someone feels grief about the past
shortness and depravities.
‘al-‘a’-lawna – (you will overcome), it aims each type of superiority, prevalence,
overcoming, influence, mastery and excess – either that is spiritual or
material. Here it means material overcoming.
This verse has also
revealed in the course of the circumstances of the Battle of ‘Uhud.
When the Muslims were being broken due to wounds, dead bodies of many braves
and young were lying before them, the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him) had been wounded also and apparently
symptoms of weakness of the Muslims were found. During such conditions, Allah
Almighty revealed this hopeful Message, “O Muslims! Do not be hopeless due to
fear of harshness and do not show your weakness opposite to the cruelties of
the enemies of the religion. Last victory is of you and you will overcome them
if you are indeed Believers and stand still in strive and struggle (Jihaad)
obeying the commands of the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him).
Due to these glad tidings,
broken hearts of the Muslims were tied. New strength in the arms of the
crusaders and stability in their intentions sprang up. The Infidels who were
spreading over the Muslims and expanding forward they were attacking
continuously, could not bear this new attack of the Crusaders of Islam and
surrendered to the extent that they ran away leaving the battlefield behind.
A skillful subject comes
out from this verse that is to say; most necessary condition to obtain the
mastery over the enemies of the Just is Faith. As the number of Muslims is not
sufficient; the battle equipment is less in quantity, even then they can get
the upper hand over Infidels with the help of Allah Almighty, if their belief
in Allah Almighty is strong and firm. Then success and exaltation comes
automatically.
The biggest difference
between Believer and Disbeliever is that, ‘most precious thing for the Believer
is obedience of Allah Almighty and love with His Messenger Muhammad (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him). He does Muhammadan Religious
War (crusade) for the most dignified Word of Allah Almighty sacrificing his
every thing. On the contrary, most beloved thing for a Disbeliever is his own
life. Wherever he will feel danger for his life, he will run away, while A
Believer makes an offering of his life in the Path of Allah Almighty in stake’.
Therefore, no power can stay before him. There is dire need of the ardor of the
faith today too.

Lesson
The Muslims were much
confused due to the loss, which was sustained by them in the Battle of ‘Uhud.
In addition, they were hurt more due to taunts of the hypocrites and the
enemies.
Qarhun - (blow, wound, stroke, sudden calamity, shock etc), blow means that
martyrdom of many lives in the battle of ‘Uhud and great financial
loss, which was due to their own mistakes, the Muslims had to bear. Their many
braves were slain and injured.
’ Ayyaamun - (days) “Yaum” is its singular. In Arabic, the word “yaum”
is used on many occasions. For instance, one time; that is to say – a moment,
one-day or unlimited time. Here ‘ayyaam means turning round of
the days, admiring, and hard and soft times. As we say, “Time flies”. It is
wandering shadow and the vicissitudes of life.
In this verse, Allah
Almighty consoled the Muslims that, “If you have received a blow in this battle
or you have to bear some trouble, don’t worry. The disbelieving people have
also received a blow the like thereof. There is no doubt that in the Battle
of ‘Uhud, your seventy-five men were martyred and so many were
injured but one year earlier during the Battle of Badr, seventy
great chiefs of the Infidels were reached the Hell and many were injured.
Besides this, in the beginning of the Battle of ‘Uhud at first their many
braves were killed and injured. In the Battle of Badr their
seventy men were captured. They suffered much dishonor at the hands of Muslims
but none of you did see this disgrace. However, if you compare the loss between
you and them, then no space of sadness and grief remains”.
It is a universal truth
that We change the softness and hardness, suffering and comfort, and the days
of trouble and relief in the people. There are so many philosophies hidden in
it. Then while the Infidels did not leave supporting the infidelity after
suffering troubles, then how the Believers can lose their courage in support of
the Right?
It is revealed from this
verse that if the Muslims have to suffer grief and trouble for some days in the
Way of Allah Almighty, then they should not be distressed because this disaster
is casual. Allah Almighty uses to alter the days of hardship and relief for the
individuals and the nations.

Lesson
Allah Almighty keeps
changing the days of suffering and ease in different nations for the purpose
that He may know the truly Believers and Hypocrites. The Believer trusts in
Allah Almighty during the days of calamity and trouble also. He has faith in
patience and constancy, remains persevering in belief and credence, and
desiring victory and support from Allah Almighty. On the contrary, the Infidels
and Hypocrites become very much confused during the days of hardship and distress. They become very active to
help the false and spurious for their personal advantage and to save their own
lives.
Bear in mind that Allah
Almighty never loves the tyrants and oppressors. Think never that Allah
Almighty loves the Idolaters due to which they acquired (casual) success in the
Battle of ‘Uhud. On no account, it is like this, but there are some
other causes of their success. One object of coming calamity upon the Muslims
is too that Allah Almighty purify the Believers and ruin the Infidels. Victory
and defeat is a changing. Position of martyrdom had given to the Muslims, to
examine the Believers and Hypocrites, to purify the Muslims from sins and to
ruin gradual the Infidels was the actual aim.
Today too when we observe
that the Muslims are suffering from the mountains of miseries and calamities,
and the non-Muslim nations are in the way of prosperity and improvement, then
some people say, “they are better than us, Allah Almighty is contented to them,
He is displeased upon us”. Whereas reality is different, actual aim is that the
Muslims should assert more humility and weakness in the Court of Allah
Almighty, they should repent of sins and try to correct their circumstances, so
that the Infidels and disobedient become target of Allah’s wrath and rage.
In short, there are four
objects of trial and examination:
1. Allah Almighty may know, “Who are the Believers and whose faith is
strong”.
2. Who present evidence of their belief?
3. The Believers should be purified.
4. The Infidels and the enemies of the religion should be
destroyed.

Lesson
It has been mentioned in
this verse, “Do you consider that you would reach there easily and comfortably,
where Allah Almighty wishes to cause to arrive the Muslims (at most dignified
places of the Paradise and higher grades)? In addition, Allah Almighty will not
observe through your test and trial, that how much of you are those who really
strive and who are steadfast? Keep it in your minds that only those people are
caused to reach the superior posts, who are ready to sacrifice their lives and
bear each kind of hardness and severity in the Path of Allah Almighty.
Those companions (may Allah
Almighty be pleased with them) who could not participate in the Battle of Badr,
they used to long for it that Allah Almighty produce another chance again, so
that ‘we’ also achieve the grade of martyrdom in the Way of Allah Almighty. It
has been commanded in this verse, “The longing, which you had earlier in your
breasts, that has appeared in front of you. That is to say; you wished to
strive with the fond of martyrdom in the path of Allah Almighty. At this time,
treacherous powers are before you. How strange is it if instead of going ahead,
now you want to withdraw? Moreover, you would have to accomplish the desires of
your hearts.
It has come in the Sayings
of the Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), “Do
not wish ever to defy against the enemy. However, if the time has come and you
have been compelled to fight, remain steadfast now and strive the crusade if
the enemy is challenging you.
It is evident from the
verses that to acquire the result of goodness, someone has to bear the
hardships in the Way of Allah Almighty. Test and examination declares that,
“who deserves the Paradise? Who has the right to become Its heir? In such a
manner, the Muslims would have to face different kinds of calamities and
troubles to get Paradise. Therefore, they should remain steadfast and
patient.

Lesson
Former nations formed their
Spiritual Guides, Reformers, Prophets and Messengers either as God or son of
god, and deemed them higher than the humankind. Islam has determined the actual
rank of the Messenger in Kalima-tush-Shahaadat, “Ash-hadu
allaaa ilaaha ‘Il-lal-laa-hu, Wah-dahuu, Laa
sha-reeka lahuu, wa ash-hadu anna Muhamma-dan ‘Abdu Huu wa RasuuluHu” (I bear witness that
verily there is no God but Allah. He is the One, None is Partner with Him. And
I bear witness that verily Muhammad is His ‘Abd (servant)
and His Apostle). (He is neither God, nor Son of God, nor the Incarnation of God).
There is no priesthood in Islam, No rituals, no formalities of baptism.
After producing this basic
principle of Islam in the above-mentioned verses, it has been signified towards
an important event of the Battle of ‘Uhud, which is as under:
In the battlefield of ‘Uhud,
Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)
prepared a map for war personally. After setting the rank and file in order, He
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) observed that one pass of the
hill of ‘Uhud had remained. The Army of enemy could attack the
Muslims from behind that pass. Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him) detailed fifty archers to stand on the pass, appointed ‘Abdullah bin
Jabiir (may Allah be pleased with him) as their leader and urged them also,
“You should not leave your position and remain standing on the same place. Even
if you observe that the winged creature are pinching and eating the flesh of
our Army, still you would not have to leave your place”. Messenger Muhammad
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) commanded, “Until you will keep
your footing at this place, till then we shall remain triumphant upon the
enemy”.
The battle began. A furious
war was fought. Crusaders of Islam were showing advantage of manliness and
bravery. The Idolaters of Quraish were not able to find any
path except running away from the front of the fearlessness of Abu
Dajaanah, Ali and other Crusaders of Islam. Allah Almighty kept His
promise. The Infidels suffered a defeat. They began to run away. The Muslim
soldiers began to collect the enemy’s property and assets in possession
(booty).
When the bowmen of the
hill-pass observed this scene, they considered that “the Muslims have
succeeded. Now staying here (at pass of the hill) is useless and avoidable. We
should pursue the enemy and take our share from the booty. Their leader
Abdullah bin Jabiir (may Allah be pleased with him) reminded
them dictation of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon
him), but the archers imagined that they have completed their duty according to
the desire of Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). They all
broke in collecting the booty except Abdullah bin Jabiir and
his only ten companions (archers) remained for the safety of the pass.
As soon as the archers left
their place, one troop of horses, which was being commanded by Khalid
bin Waleed returned and attacked from the hill-pass side. A handful
strength of ten bowmen could not stop two hundred fifty horse-riders, however,
‘Abdullah bin Jabiir and his companions (may Allah be pleased with
him) sacrificed their lives during fight. Now the Muslims were surrounded from
the both sides. They fought as much strongly that ‘Al-‘amaan wal-Hafiiz.
Many Muslims were martyred and injured. At the same time an Infidel threw a
stone on the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), which
caused to martyr his tooth and face was injured. Prophet (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) fell down due to severity of the injury
and someone spread the rumor that Prophet of Allah Almighty (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) has been killed.
Listening to this news the
Muslims lost their senses and they lose their footing. A few Muslims threw
their weapons. Some of them thought about getting safety from the leader of
Idolaters. The Hypocrites began to say that while Prophet (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) has been killed then we should adopt our
ancient religion leaving Islam.
At that critical
time, Ans ibne-Al-Nafar (may Allah be pleased with him) said,
“If Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) has been killed
then his God is still alive. After Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him) there is no use to live. For which aim Prophet Muhammad (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him) was killed, we also would sacrifice
ourselves for that same purpose. Saying these words, he moved forward and
martyred. Then suddenly, Messenger of Allah (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him) called, “O slaves of Allah come here”. Listening to that
particular voice, the Muslims began to shrink there again. Three Companions
(may Allah be pleased with them) defended coming near to him (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) and caused the Army of Idolaters to run away.
Then this verse was
revealed, “Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is not God
but a Messenger. Many Prophets (peace be upon them) have been passed away
before him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). After the Prophets
(peace be upon them), their followers sustained the religion always. Therefore,
your passing away from the world would not be a surprise. If you (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him) die or martyr then, would the people turn away
from serving the religion and protecting the religion? Remember it that, “If
someone does so, he will lose himself; it will influence nothing to God. You
should thank Allah Almighty that He has chosen you for the services of His
religion.
It is obligatory upon us to
learn from this verse and remain steadfast on His religion in the absence of
the Messenger of Allah (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). Holy
Qur’an has been committed to the trust and our care by the Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him), which is source of eternal and
everlasting Guidance. Besides this, model roll and sayings of the Messenger,
Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) are before us. We
should follow his (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) footsteps and
get success. Islam will remain alive always.

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The

Verse –145 of 200,
Section –15 (Part – 4)
No soul
can ever die except by Allah’s leave and at a term appointed. Whoso desireth
the reward of the world, We bestow on him thereof; and whoso desireth the
reward of the Hereafter, We bestow on him thereof. And We shall reward the

Lesson
It has been told in this
verse that none can die without the order of Allah Almighty, no matter how much
reasons for death are collected. Moreover, death of every person occurs at its specific time.
If the situation is likewise then the people who have trust in Allah Almighty should
neither be confounded from it and nor be disappointed and doubting after
hearing the death of any young or old.
The person who desires the
reward of his good deeds in the world, Allah Almighty will bestow on him
thereof; and whoso desires the reward in the Hereafter, He will bestow on him
thereof. For instance; the squad of archers disobeyed the Holy Prophet (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him) in the Battle of ‘Uhud and
broke in collecting the booty. Those people wanted reward of strife and
struggle (Jihaad) in the path of Allah Almighty in the world. Second
type of the people is those who executed the order of Last Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him). For instance, chief of archers
Abdullah bin Jabiir and his only ten companions (archers) saw
the enemies running away from the battlefield and found the Muslims collecting
the booty, but they did not move from their place. They preferred the Obedience
of Holy Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) instead of
property and material belonging to this world. They remained steadfast in
obedience of Holy Prophet (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)
without caring for the booty. Reward for these types of particular people is in
the Hereafter.
The people who will remain
steadfast upon the religion, they will get the religion also as well as there
will be no deduction in their property in the world, and they will succeed in
the Hereafter too. Allah Almighty will grant them more rewards that feel obliged
and value the graciousness. Some people become so blind in the greed and
selfishness and lose their senses that their belief does not remain in
Hereafter. They say that they should be paid their reward for their deeds in
cash (in the world) not in loan (in the Hereafter). They think that it is
unknown and not sure to come again to be alive. They want to get the rewards of
their virtues, hardworking and goodness in this world. Such people remain in
severe loss because getting reward in this world is nothing as compared to the
Hereafter.

Lesson
This topic begins from the
previous two verses that the Prophets and the Messengers came in the world and
passed away. Like this, last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and
peace of Allah Almighty be upon him) was sent for a prescribed period. But his
(grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon him) religion will
remain till the General Resurrection, and the Scripture brought by him will
remain a source of Guidance always for the nations and persons of the world.
Therefore, it will be opposite of the wisdom and sense to show the weakness and
laziness in the matter of the religion. Those people who appeared suspicion due
to listening false news about martyrdom of Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings
and peace of Allah Almighty be upon him) in the Battlefield of ‘Uhud, they were
wrong. The Religion belongs to Allah Almighty and He is the Ever living, the
Self-Subsisting by whom all subsist. Mortality does not overtake Him.
Continuing this chain of
the Word, it has been described in this verse about the Prophets and the
Messengers (peace be upon them) and their good disposition followers
(companions) (may Allah be pleased with them). So that the followers (‘Ummah)
of the last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah
Almighty be upon him) may get lesson from them.
Rib-biyyuuna – (the devoted men), this word has been derived from the word ‘Rabb’
that is added to a noun of Allah Almighty. Rib-biyyuun means
those persons who have relation with their Lord, seekers and lovers of Allah
Almighty. The people used to say the Jews scholars as Rabbii,
plural of which is Rib-biyyuun.
It is being commanded,
“Often that the devotee men and pious servants fought against the enemies of
Allah Almighty supporting the Prophets (peace be upon them). Good or bad, each
type of time comes in the war. Some times one group wins and the other is
defeated and some times opposite to it. But their steadfast feet never
trembled. Their spirit and strength never accounted for. They suffered thousand
times, but neither they were lazy, nor they had shown weakness and nor they
went down. Allah Almighty keeps friends likewise steadfast and stable
temperament people. The Muslims would have to produce these virtues in to them
to become beloved of Lord Almighty”.
