Know your Lord

Chapter “FAATIR’” - (The Creator) - 35

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

 أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَٰتٍ مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهَا وَمِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌۢ بِيضٌ وَحُمْرٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٌ 27  

                                       

27.  Hast thou not seen that Allah causeth water to fall from the sky, and We produce therewith fruit of diverse hues? And among the hills are streaks white and red, of diverse hues, and (others) raven-black.

27.  ‘Alam  tara  ‘annAllaaha  ‘anzala  minas-samaaa-‘i  maaa-‘aa.  Fa-‘akhrajNaa  bihii  samaraatim-mukhtalifan  ‘alwaanu-haa.  Wa  minal-jibaali  judadum-biizunw-wa  humrum-mukhtalifun  ‘alwaanuhaa  wa  garaabiibu  suud.

Commentary

Judadun – (streaks, tracts, passes in the mountains), this word is plural of juddatun, which has been derived from jaddun. Jaddun means “to cut, to make pieces”.

Garaabiibun – (ravenous, extremely, more than enough), it is plural of the word girbiibun.

Reason of bestowing sense to the mankind is that he should observe the things of the world and know Allaah Almighty by them. It is the actual work of the sense. And it is expected from the mankind that first of all he will use his sense for knowing his Creator. If he did not do so then it is clear that in accord with the credence he is totally senseless, whether he is Aristotle of his time or Plato of the world.

It is commanded: Water falls from the sky by which you see that various kinds of fruits, vegetables and other things grow from the land. Everything from them has a separate color, taste, form and flavor. Multifarious things come out from the earth before you and you use them as food and drinking etc. You are not able to grow all such things.

Behold! These entire are Wonders of Allaah’s Divine Power. Let us observe on the other side! There are high mountains between which passes exist for crossing them. Their stones are of various colors as white, red and black etc. Colors of some stones are dark and some are light. Do you know that Who is The Creator of these all sorts and kinds of stones and rocks? Even then why do you not know Allaah Almighty?
