Remembrance of the Judgment Day

Chapter “Furqaan”- {The Criterion (of Right and Wrong)} - 25

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

                                                           

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا 25 ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًا 26  

25.  And on the Day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. 26.  The Sovereignty on that Day will be the True (Sovereignty) belonging to the Beneficent One, and it will be a hard Day for disbelievers.

25.  Wa  Yawma  tashaqqaqus-samaaaa-‘u  bil-gamaami  wa  nuzzilal-malaaa-‘ikatu  tanziilaa. 26.  ‘Al-mulku  Yawma-‘izi-nil-Haqqu  lir-Rahmaan.  Wa  kaana  Yawman  ‘alal-kaafiriina  ‘asiiraa.

Commentary

Tashaqqaqu – (will be broken) actually this word is tatashaqqaqu, origin of which is shaqqun. Shaqqun means “to rend, to split”.

Gamaami (clouds), this word is from gammun, which means “to cover any thing after being rolled up upon it”. It will be a thing like clouds, which will surround the Special Illumination of Allaah Almighty”. On that Day the heaven will be rent and these white clouds will be seen coming from above.

It is commanded: Remember the Day of Resurrection! The heaven will be broken on that Day and clouds will be visible coming down. Then innumerable Angels (peace be upon them) will begin to come from the above constantly. There will be Illumination of Allaah Almighty in the clouds Who will come in this form in the Field of Resurrection. And around Him there will be a crowd of countless Angels (peace be upon them). These All will come and stay in the Field of Resurrection and the Court of Allaah Almighty will be established.

The people will come to know on that Day that what the actual Sovereignty is? The actual Sovereignty will be such that there will be none for commanding save Allaah Almighty. And it will be the Map of His Real Sovereignty. That Day will be the hardest for those who disbelieved in Allaah Almighty and who will be deprived of His Mercy while He is The Greatest Beneficent.
