(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Commentary

Basharun – (that who has visible symbols, a mortal, a human being), it is an adjective from ba-sha-raBashra means physiognomy, visage, countenance, appearance. Those bodily signs, which can be seen by eyes, are also bashraBashar is the creature, whose body and its conditions; for example, moving, turning, shrinking etc. may be visible to eyes. Bodies and signs of Angels and Jinn cannot be seen with eyes, so they are not Bashar.

Sawway-tu – (I made it correct), it is a past tense from the word tas-wiyya-tun, origin of which is sa-wa-yaSawaa-‘un means “equal”. Tas-wiyya-tun means “to fit the particles at their places properly”.

Ruuhun – (the Spirit, Soul), besides the apparent body of the mankind, there is one more thing into him, by which he comes to life. And when it gets out from the body, then the body loses the life. It is called Spirit or Soul.

Qa-‘uu – (Fall down!), it is a word of command from wa-qa-‘aWaqa-‘a means “to fall down”. The words waaqi-‘amawqa’ah and waquu’ have been derived from the same origin.

It is commanded that Allah Almighty said to the Angels: I am creating a thing (named mankind) out of potter’s clay of black stinking mud. When its body is made correctly, then I shall breathe into him of My Spirit. At that time, you should fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. It will be sign that you all will guard him and help him for his betterment.
