Commentary
Meditate in the previous verses. Verily
Holy Qur’aan rendered its due for causing to understand the Truth to the
ignorant humankind. It says: O people! Think for a moment! Who is The Supplier
of the means of subsistence for you? Who causes to rain from the sky and
arranges to grow the grain from the earth? If you say that these entire works
are being performed by your idols, then behold! The Muslims have pulled down
and ruined your idols. Has the subsistence been over after them? Have you felt
any difference in the order of the world after destruction of your idols?
Those people who consider that their
Sustainer is someone else than Allah Almighty, they should observe that if they
leave them, even then their all works will be completed as earlier. While any
work does not depend on idols, then why do you not believe that these entire
works are being fulfilled by Allah Almighty? Only He is Who brings into being
and drives away, and He will reproduce the entire human beings also for reward
and/or punishment. And only He is, Who describes the Truth and Right. Mankind
does not know the reality, is fallen into conjecture and probability. Holy Qur’aan,
which is the Word of Allah Almighty, explains about the Truth, in which there
is no doubt. Proof of its genuineness is that none can fabricate even any one
Chapter like it, whether entire people of the world try their best
collectively.
It is commanded: If they deny you {O
Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), while you have caused
to know them clearly, then you should say to them! I have performed my duty.
Unto you is your work. I shall be asked about my own works only. If I am true,
I shall reap my reward.
But on the other hand, as you have not
followed me (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), so now; you
yourselves are responsible of your deeds. My only duty was to explain the
Commandments of Allah Almighty, which I have performed. Therefore, I am free
from obligation of you.
