Praise of God Almighty (1)
Chapter “Furqaan”- {The Criterion (of Right and
Wrong)} - 25
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا 1 ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًا 2

1. Blessed is He Who
hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may
be a Warner to the peoples -
2. He unto Whom
belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, He hath chosen no son
nor hath He any partner in the Sovereignty; and He hath created everything
and hath meted out for it a measure.

1. TabaarakallaZii nazzalal-Furqaana ‘alaa
‘AbdiHii liya-kuuna lil-‘aalamiina naziiraa.
2. ‘Allazii lahuu
mulkus-samaa-waati wal-‘arzi wa
lam yatta-khiz waladanw-wa
lam yakul-laHuu shariikun-
fil-mulki wa khalaqa
kulla shay-‘in faqad-darahuu taqdiiraa.

Commentary
Tabaaraka – (Blessed),
it is past tense from the word tabaarakun, origin of which is barakah.
Barakah means “blessing, growing and increasing naturally”.
Allaah
Almighty is such long and wide Sea of all good and excellence; greatness and glory;
life and power; omnipotence; mercy and perfection, that shore of which cannot
be seen. His sufficiency and riches boils up into Himself every time. Neither we
have such words by which we may describe His Eminence, and nor there is any
such thing in the universe which can be considered like Him. Allaah
Almighty has spread tokens of His Omnipotence among His creatures. Every individual
can know Him by meditating into His tokens. Like this, He has explained concerning
His Epithets in the Holy Qur’an in His Own Words, by which a mankind can
imagine about Him.
It has
been commanded in this verse: Allaah Almighty is Origin and Centre of
the entire Excellences, Who revealed Holy Qur’an as a Criterion (Standard
of Judging that what is right and what is wrong) and sent it by means of one of
His chosen servants for causing to hear and as a warning for human beings in
the world, that he {the last Messenger of Allaah Almighty, Muhammad
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) may inform the entire human
beings concerning bad consequences of their wicked deeds, so that lest they may
be ruined being careless from Allaah Almighty and be slain during their
carelessness.
