Misunderstanding
Suratun-Nahl - (The Bee) - 16
‘A-‘uu-zu
Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَلَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 63
|
63. By Allah, We verily
sent messengers unto the nations before thee, but the Devil made their deeds
fair-seeming unto them, so he is their patron even today, and theirs will be
a painful doom.

63. Tallaahi laqad
‘arsalNaaa ‘ilaaa ‘umamim-min- qablika
fazay-yana
lahumush-Shaytaanu
‘a’-maalahum fa-huwa waliyyu-humul-yawma wa
lahum ‘azaa-bun ‘aliim.

Commentary
In this verse, for satisfying the Messenger,
Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), Allah Almighty
commands: it is a regular course in the world since the beginning that the
human being is entangled in the tricks of Satan and disregards the Sayings of
the Messengers (peace be upon them); sent by Us (God Almighty). Many of the
people will consider that their wicked deeds are fair, even that their evil
days will surround them from all sides at the end, and by suffering from the
doom; they will be ruined in the world. In the Hereafter they will be entangled
in the perpetual torment.
God Almighty has been swearing of Himself and
commanding to His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): We
sent Our Messengers (peace be upon them) in various nations before You and they
left no stone unturned to cause to understand them. But the Devil said to them:
Bravo! Will you give up enjoyments and plays of the world by their saying?
Behold! How much and what various kinds of amusing things do exist before you?
If you did not use them, then others would take them under their possession and
you would gaze in vain. You should enjoy your life along with your companions.
Those people were ruined due to deception of Satan
and their evil deeds. But the behavior of the immoral persons is the same even
today. The same perversion, ill disposition and devilish temptations have been
working continuously, and absolutely their end will also be the same as it was
of those before them. They will be in torment at both places (in this world and
in the Hereafter), and this doom will be the result of their own evil deeds.
